Bonbast is a read-only rate viewer. It does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Data We Collect

Bonbast does not collect any personally identifiable information. No name, email, location, device ID, or usage analytics are gathered.

Currencies you have hidden from the list

All stored locally via UserDefaults. Never transmitted.

Network Requests

The app communicates only with our rate API over HTTPS to fetch exchange rate data. No third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs are included.

Third-Party Services

Rate data is sourced from tgju.org via our backend server. No data about you is sent to tgju.org or any other third party.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the app show "Connecting to server…" at first launch?: Our server runs on DigitalOcean App Platform and may take up to 30 seconds to wake from idle. The app retries automatically — no action needed.
How often do rates update?: Market and Nimayee rates are cached for 15 minutes on our server and refresh in-app every 60 seconds. Official bank (Dolati) rates update once per business day.
Why does Dolati show 0% change for some currencies?: The Central Bank does not update every currency every day. A 0% change means the rate was not revised — this is correct data, not a bug.
What is the difference between Rial and Toman?: 1 Toman = 10 Rials. Bonbast displays both in the converter and on each currency card.
